Disney World with a Service Dog

Due to memory card problems we lost most of our photos from Epcot and Magic Kingdom, we will be going back to Disney in Oct 2025 to take new photos.

As a travel blogger dedicated to exploring the world with pets, I recently embarked on an unforgettable journey to Disney World with my service dog, Boomer. We decided to tackle all three parks in one exhilarating day: Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. Here’s how we made the most of our whirlwind adventure together, including the rides Boomer was able to enjoy!

Morning: Animal Kingdom

Our day began at Animal Kingdom, and let me tell you, it was the perfect start! Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who quickly helped us navigate the park. One of the highlights of our time here was the Kilimanjaro Safaris. Boomer joined me for this incredible adventure, and we saw a variety of wildlife up close in their natural habitats. It was amazing to share this experience with him as we marveled at the beautiful animals roaming freely.

After the safari, we explored the breathtaking World of Pandora, where Boomer was able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this immersive land. Though he couldn’t ride the thrill attractions, he was a happy pup as we strolled through the stunning landscapes.

Afternoon: Epcot

After an enchanting morning, we hopped over to Epcot. This park, with its unique blend of culture and innovation, offered us more opportunities to enjoy attractions together. Boomer was a hit with fellow visitors, who couldn’t resist stopping to say hello. The spacious pathways made it easy to navigate with him, and we found plenty of pet-friendly areas to take breaks.

At Epcot, Boomer was able to join me on the Frozen Ever After ride, where we journeyed through the beautiful world of Arendelle alongside beloved characters. It was a delightful experience to see his reaction to the enchanting visuals and music.

Evening: Magic Kingdom

Finally, we made our way to the Magic Kingdom, the crown jewel of Disney. The excitement in the air was palpable, and we were thrilled to be part of the magic. As we arrived, we caught the enchanting evening parade, and Boomer soaked up the festive atmosphere.

In Magic Kingdom, Boomer was able to experience the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, a gentle and charming ride that was perfect for him. He loved the sights and sounds as we circled around with other happy guests. Even though he couldn’t ride every attraction, Disney provided a crate for him at the more intense rides, allowing him to relax safely while I enjoyed the thrills. The staff was incredibly helpful, checking in on us and ensuring Boomer was comfortable throughout our visit.

Tips for a Successful Day at Disney with Your Service Dog
  1. Know the Policies: Familiarize yourself with Disney’s service animal policies to ensure a smooth experience.
  2. Plan for Crates: Many rides have accommodations for service dogs in the form of crates, so be prepared for this during your visit.
  3. Stay Hydrated: Bring plenty of water and a portable bowl to keep your dog refreshed throughout the day.
  4. Pack Essentials: Don’t forget waste bags, treats, and any necessary medical supplies for your service dog.
  5. Schedule Breaks: Plan regular breaks to allow your dog to rest. Disney offers numerous shaded spots and benches for this purpose.
  6. Be Flexible: The parks can be overwhelming, so maintain a positive attitude and be ready to adapt your plans if needed.
Conclusion

Our whirlwind day at Disney with Boomer was nothing short of magical. With a little planning and a lot of love, we created unforgettable memories together. If you’re considering a trip to Disney with your service dog, I wholeheartedly encourage it!
